Insecticides Registration
Insecticides Registration in India is governed under the Insecticides Act, 1968 and regulated by the Central Insecticides Board & Registration Committee (CIBRC). Any manufacturer, importer, or distributor intending to produce, sell, transport, or import insecticides must obtain prior registration approval from CIBRC.
Registration ensures that the insecticide product meets prescribed safety, efficacy, quality, and environmental standards before it is approved for commercial distribution. Without valid registration, manufacturing or importing insecticides in India is legally prohibited.
